Register now to attend a Racial Equity Workshop in September

As the Horizon Foundation launches its new Equity initiative, we invite you to join us by attending one of three Racial Equity Workshops in September. If you are passionate about working with communities of color in Howard County, please register to attend one of these important sessions. These workshops are designed to help partners and community stakeholders develop a shared understanding and language regarding equity, equality, structural racism, diversity and inclusion. Please note: Workshop attendance by a team of three participants is REQUIRED in order for an organization to apply for future equity grant opportunity. A Request for Proposals will be released (due Nov. 16) for organizations seeking grant funding to partner with us on this important equity vision.Workshops will be offered at three times:

  • Thursday, September 20, 2018, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. – This workshop is now full. If this is the only time you can attend, please contact Rosimar Melendez (contact information below)
  • Thursday, September 20, 2018, 4 to 8 p.m.
  • Saturday, September 22, 2018, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

All workshops will be held at the Owen Brown Interfaith Center, 7246 Cradlerock Way, in Columbia, Maryland.
