Join the Horizon Foundation and the Wendt Center on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at 3 PM EST for a free 1-hour virtual workshop: Uncertainty and Grief – The Impact of COVID. This workshop is the first of a series that not only discusses the hardships educators have experienced during this global health pandemic, but frames the COVID-19 pandemic as a grief experience.
Make no mistake, this past year has been rough on all of us. The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic is affecting every facet of our lives – from physical health, to emotional well-being, to economic security, to social connections and spiritual life. People are experiencing increased anxiety, isolation, anger and sadness. Uncertainty during this crisis has impacted how we cope, and how well we cope. And educators are on the front lines of managing this – for their students and for themselves. The series will explore grief responses and provide realistic strategies to sustain in the face of grief and trauma exposure.
