Supporting 988 during #MDGA24!
Last week marked Crossover Day in the Maryland General Assembly – the day bills should pass at least one chamber in order to keep moving through the legislative process for the chance to become law. There are still several weeks left, and we are seeing some positive signs for legislation the Foundation is supporting to make our state healthier and more equitable.
The Horizon Foundation was proud to testify in person with our partners in support of HB 933/SB 974, which would create a permanent funding source for Maryland’s 988 helpline and enable the state to improve services for those experiencing a behavioral health crisis. Both the House and Senate versions of the bill have passed their respective chambers and are being heard on the other side.
RFP: Marketing campaign to change the narrative around structural racism and health
The Horizon Foundation is currently seeking proposals for a marketing campaign that invites residents to partner with the Foundation to change the narrative around structural racism and health inequities – and to ultimately join the Foundation’s work to dismantle systems and policies that perpetuate structural racism.
Through this RFP we are seeking a marketing partner to design and execute a marketing campaign that articulates the barriers structural racism presents to living a healthy and abundant life and calls the community to action.
